Welcome to Full Steam Ahead! The challenges in this unit engage students in the Engineering Design Process and require them to design their own solutions for specific problems. Students will come home with inventions and artifacts designed 100% by THEM! Your child won't be following step-by-step instructions in order to make a craft (we have other courses for that!). Instead, they will apply their own creativity and ingenuity as they figure out how to make a bird’s nest, a cork raft, and a painting using only a pendulum! They will collaborate with their pals and learn that the best ideas come from working as a team.  Remember, STEAM is not just about the outcome of the challenge but the learning path to get there.
