Every child has an opinion. Debate Club / Speak Up! is the class for students who love to argue their point — respectfully! Public speaking is a skill every child needs, and one most students never get to practice. Through games like Taboo and the 5 Second Rule, students build real confidence in front of a crowd, tackling debates on topics they actually care about — school lunch, cell phones in class, and more. Along the way, they learn to back up their opinions with evidence, listen actively, and disagree without losing their cool. The program closes with a personal speech showcase where every student puts it all together. No experience needed!
