Greenwich Kempo
Sensei George Wolff is the New Headmaster of Greenwich Kempo; he believes that students understand what is being taught only if we teach the way they understand. Simplified, direct instruction is tailored to each child’s needs.
A Martial Artist should possess positive self-development, compassion, loyalty, a humble spirit, self control and discipline. These traits are taught directly by each Sensei and led by example, as a powerful testament to each young student. This is achieved by several means, including a proper greeting while entering the dojo, eye contact, respectful interactions, clear communication & above all, a feeling of acceptance regardless of your skill level. Here at Greenwich Kempo it is evident that each young student feels welcome and a part of something bigger.

Backyard Sports
Backyard Sports is a unique, community team sports program based in Westchester County, New York. Our programs, for boys and girls in Pre K through high school, focus on developing and sharpening athletic skills and winning strategies.
Youth sport programs exist in a much more competitive world today than a generation ago. Current programs resemble a professional model where results, records and instant success rule the sports landscape.
Knowing how to be correctly competitive is not something we’re born with. Appropriate competitiveness and winning attitudes often need to be cultivated and encouraged. But, if done properly, within the right time frame and in a positive environment, competitive training can help our youngsters grow into the leaders of tomorrow.
That is why we created Backyard Sports. We believe that any child, given the right coaching and support, can acquire the competitive edge and winning skills that will serve them in sports, academics, and beyond the playing field.

NSCF Chess
The National Scholastic Chess Foundation (NSCF) was founded in 1990 to provide the benefits of a chess education to students of all ages. The primary goal of NSCF’s programs is to develop critical thinkers and expose students to the joys of chess.
NSCF enrichment classes offer a balance between formal lessons and structured play time where students are paired with opponents of similar strength. Instructors provide helpful comments on the games students play to encourage the application of the concepts taught in the lessons. Students have fun and gain new skills for the chess board and for life.
Our instruction focuses less on winning and more on developing students’ decision-making skills through chess. This approach fosters experimentation and exploration and reduces performance anxiety. We proudly cover every stage of Bloom’s taxonomy and uniquely emphasize decision-making as the pinnacle of chess learning.
